FUTURE RARITY ALERT! ORIGINAL PRESSING ON CLONE!
Roaring out of the Akron scene in 78 with this 2-song ripper Hooked On You b/w To Kill You would be Teachers Pets only official release in their original incarnation as a band (the group gasped its final breath in 81) and what a debut / swan-song it would prove to be! Hooked On You is a melodic punk smasher with a whiff of the forthcoming New Wave movement (synthesizers anyone?) that breaks out of the gate with a riff reminiscent of Blitzkreig Bop and shifts gears into a Slade/glammy hi-tempo rocker while the flip-side To Kill You stutter-steps into a riff-heavy Sweet-inflected head banger! Dont be fooled by the photo on the front - these bros had serious chops (of the musical variety seems like they shaved off their mutton-chops for the pic) with some clever organ work and some seriously wailing guitar ala Brian James of The Damned or Steve Jones (or hell even Ace Frehley). Definitely one of the crème-iest in the Clone discography and a staff favorite! GET IT!
